My Review

After reading Sarah J. Maas I was struggling to find a book, let alone a series, that had me hooked all the way through, falling in love with the characters and the intruiging plotline, but Tahereh Mafi solved that problem for me! Not only did she solve it, she went above and beyond, giving me not one book, but a whole bunch of them! If you love YA or fantasy fiction, you will not be disappointed. The series has everything you want but is refreshingly different in the most exciting and unpredictable way. I wish it was a TV show (there is talk of it) but I want every beautifully crafted line to be represented in the show. Whilst the world-building isn't as thorough or obvious as it is in Maas' books, that can be forgive with the cleverly done writing that shows just how broken Juliette is. It takes a little getting used to as it isn't a style choice that we typically see, however, it is far from annoying and only brings you further into Juliette's world. I don't think there are any YA or fantasy fiction lovers that haven't read Mafi's series, but if you haven't... shame on you (just kidding!), go read it! You won't be disappointed.
